Christian Activist Condemns Destruction of Hindu Temple in Pakistan
01/01/2021 Pakistan (International Christian Concern) – A Christian activist has condemned the destruction of a historic Hindu temple in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The temple was destroyed on December 31 after a mob of extremists was stirred up by local Islamic leaders.
On December 31, a mob of extremists destroyed a historic Hindu temple in the village of Teri, located in the Karak district. The mob reportedly attacked the building by throwing away sacred objects, destroying structures with hammers, and setting the building on fire.
According to Asia News, police stood by and watched as the mob destroyed the historic temple.
Christian Neighborhood in Pakistan Attacked on Christmas Day
12/31/2020 Pakistan (International Christian Concern) – According to local sources in Pakistan, several Christians in Lahore were injured in an attack instigated by Muslim men harassing Christian girls on Christmas day.
On December 25, Christians from Khadim colony, a neighborhood of Lahore, gathered at a local church to celebrate Christmas. Near the church, a play area for Christian children and youths was set up for the celebrations.
According to Faisal Masih, around 15 Muslim men came onto the church’s premises and began harassing the Christian girls. The men took photos of the Christian girls and asked the girls for their phone numbers.
Murderer Uses False Blasphemy Accusation to Justify Killing of Christian in Pakistan
12/30/2020 Pakistan (International Christian Concern) – According to local sources in Pakistan, a Christian man was murdered earlier this month by a Muslim coworker in a factory. The victim’s family reports the murderer falsely accused the Christian of committing blasphemy to justify the killing.
On December 14, Arshad Masih, a 32-year-old Christian, was stabbed to death by Atif Ali, his Muslim coworker at Pakistan Spring Factory in Sheikhupura. Samina Bibi, Masih’s wife, reports that Ali attacked her husband due to a promotion Masih received and his refusal to convert to Islam.
