The Tehrik Labaik Pakistan (TLP), in a very short time, has emerged as one of the strongest neo-fundamentalist, radical organisations. To become politically successful, the TLP needs to expand beyond its one-point agenda limited to blasphemy issues to include other socio-economic issues. The politics of the TLP variety, however, relies more on emotion rather than rationality. The half-hearted ban imposed on the TLP by the Pakistan government in the wake of the violence committed by the organisation in April 2021, it seems, is based more on immediate law and order priorities rather than on constraining its toxic, religion-based politics. The ban will not defang the religious radicalism that forms the TLPs core strength.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Tuesday said the workers, supporters, and members of PTI were facing Political victimization in Sindh adding that the PPP Government had failed to deliver in Sindh.
The Governor expressed this while speaking to the media at the residence of Raees Arsalan Bux Brohi district President Pakistan Tehreek Insaf on his visit to Thatta.
”Under the 18th amendment the issue of water distribution is to be solved by the Provincial Government and the federal government can not interfere in that,” the Governor said, adding that the federal government was equally concerned about the situation in Sindh because it was one of the federating units.

ISLAMABAD: The PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has told Prime Minister Imran Khan that the law and order situation in the country following clashes with the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) is the premier s mess to fix and has suggested that he either clean it up or go home .
The tweet from the PPP leader came a few hours after Interior Minister Shaikh Rashid said the government would present a resolution in the National Assembly seeking the expulsion of the French envoy and withdraw cases against members of the outlawed TLP.
Bilawal referenced the violence that occurred over the past week involving protests by the proscribed organisation, subsequent clashes with police and the government s decision to ban the TLP.

MULTAN: Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture and chairman of Walled City Project Muhammad Nadeem Qureshi has said that every possible steps were being taken to promote culture of the city and maintain beauty of local architecture into the historical buildings.
Nadeem Qureshi expressed these views during inauguration of construction work in front of Musa Pak Shaheed shrine at a cost of Rs 30 million here on Sunday. He said that the Multani tiles were being installed at walls and doors of the shrine to portray local architecture and culture. Qureshi said that construction of Sarafa Bazaar entry gate to restore historical bazaar into its actual condition was part of the project.
