The budgetary proposals were presented by Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin in the National Assembly, amid jeers from the opposition benches who shouted slogans and taunted the minister by laughing loudly as he praised Prime Minister Imran Khan’s economic initiatives. However, aided by a pair of earphones which allowed him to drown out the ruckus around him, Tarin continued his budget speech for almost four hours.

Baitul Maal to release funds for KP orphan students Peshawar May 7, 2021 PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Baitul Maal would release funds without any delay for paying fees of orphan students adopted from KP. This was assured by Malik Zaheer Abbass Khokhar, Managing Director of the Pakistan Baitul Maal, while talking to Muhammad Bilal Sethi, chairman of the Pakistan Development Foundation (PDF), a KP-based educational welfare organisation. The PDF chief had requested Pakistan Baitul Maal head for timely release of the funds to pay fees for the adopted orphan students when he called on him to greet him on assuming his new position.

Pakistan- Differently-abled persons in Khyber announce another sit-in

(MENAFN - Tribal News Network) JAMRUD: The differently-abled persons of Khyber tribal district have announced to hold another sit-in in favour of their demands at Bab-e-Khyber on February 22. The Khyber Special Persons Welfare Organisation has announced boycott of the upcoming polio vaccination campaign and sit-in at Bab-e-Khyber. These announcements were made during a meeting of Khyber Special Persons Welfare Organisation headed by its president Hazratullah Afridi at Jamrud Press Club on Thursday. Differently abled persons from Khyber district attended the meeting in large number. Participants of the meeting expressed grave concern over the attitude of Pakistan Baitul Mall with differently-abled persons. Other problems faced by differently-abled persons were also discussed and it was decided that a sit-in will be staged at Bab-e-Khyber against the attitude of Baitul Mal.
