ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan s planned address to the Sri Lankan Parliament, during his upcoming visit to the island country, has been cancelled. Khan is scheduled to travel to Colombo on a two-day trip from February 22, the Dawn reported on Thursday.
Besides his meetings with Sri Lankan President GotabayaRajapaksa and Prime Minister MahindaRajapaksa and attending an investors conference, he was to address the Sri Lankan Parliament on February 24.

Sri Lanka has cancelled Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan s planned address to its Parliament during his upcoming visit to Colombo, according to media reports.
Sergeant-at-Arms of Parliament Narendra Fernando said he had informed Parliament that the Pakistan Prime Minister s visit to Sri Lanka would go ahead as scheduled. However, the Foreign Ministry had informed Parliament officials that his proposed visit to the Parliament complex wouldnot take place.
Khan will arrive in Sri Lanka on February 22 on a two-day official state visit.
Sri Lankan media gave various reasons for the cancellation of Khan s address, Pakistan s Dawn newspaper reported on Thursday. The address was scheduled for February 24. PTI

Islamabad [Pakistan], February 18 (ANI): In a bid to highlight the plight of minority communities in Pakistan, a rights group Baloch Voice of Missing Persons (BVMP) has been holding demonstrations in Islamabad over the issue of forced abduction, torture, and harassment of the people of Balochistan by the Pakistani agencies.
Scores of protesters were seen shouting slogans on Tuesday against the Pakistani establishment and demanding the recovery of their loved ones who have illegally abducted by the army.
