MQM extends support to Imran for Senate polls Islamabad, Dec 18(UNI) The Muttahida Qaumi Movement(MQM) announced on Thursday that it has decided to extend support to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan s Tehreek-i-Insaf(PTI) in thr forth coming Senate elections. This political move by the MQM was announced after Imran Khan assured it of ‘prominent role’ in the recently formed Gilgit-Baltistan government, Dawn reported on Friday. Imran Khan and an MQM delegation led by its chief Khalid Maqbool Siddquiit held a meeting on Thursday where it was decided that the PTI, MQM and the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), which is a cluster of seven different local parties in Sindh, would jointly contest the Senate polls.
