Geo News quoted Bukhari as saying in a statement that the police vehicle showed up at her residence when she was not at home and police officers questioned her hired help about her whereabouts. While alleging that the police officers had harassed the workers, she said that these were tactics by the government to stop the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rally that will be held on December 13.

Pak PM Khan reshuffles Cabinet on IHC s directive ANI | Updated: Dec 12, 2020 12:02 IST Islamabad [Pakistan], December 12 (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday reshuffled his cabinet after Islamabad High Court s (IHC) directive barred un-elected advisers and special assistants from heading the cabinet committees. The move is considered as a significant blow to government s privatisation efforts that were being spearheaded by unelected members of the federal cabinet. This is the fourth federal cabinet shakeup in less than three years of the Khan s Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) that came to power in 2018. The new appointees include Sheikh Rashid Ahmed as Interior Minister and Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh as Finance Minister. Brigadier Retired Ijaz Ahmad Shah serving the Interior Minister was appointed as Minister for Narcotics Control, while Azam Khan Swati was appointed as Minister for Railways, reported Dawn.

PM urges developed nations to fulfill climate pledges 1120 DHAKA, Dec 12, 2020 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today urged the developed countries to come up with predictable and promised mitigation measures along with finance to face the adversity of climate change. “I would like to conclude urging all developed countries to come forward with predictable and promised mitigation measures along with climate finance,” she said, joining a virtual “Climate Ambition Summit” marking the fifth anniversary of the landmark Paris Agreement. In a pre-recorded speech aired at the summit, the PM also said, “Today we are observing the fifth anniversary of the historic Paris Agreement. Unfortunately, we are nowhere near to our goals set under the agreement”.
