KARACHI: Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali on Friday told the Sindh Assembly that the provincial government would consider increasing salaries of government employees in the next budget.
Concluding the pre-budget debate, he admitted that the minimum salary of a government employee was not enough for subsistence, but the provincial government had to take a decision in that regard keeping in view its resources.
Mr Shah said that around Rs50 billion was spent for payment of salaries and retired employees’ pension, excluding employees of local government institutions.

The Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah stated this while addressing a press conference along with Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani on Saturday. PPP Karachi Division General Secretary Javed Nagori was also present.
The Minister added that Sukkur âHyderabad Motorways Project was conceived under CPEC in previous government tenure, Gaaj Dam project was launched in 2013 while schemes of up-grading of passport offices and railway stations in Sindh were already included in federal budget book.

SUKKUR (Dunya News) – PTI’s Vice President Haleem Adil Shekh Wednesday said Prime Minister Imran Khan would announce an uplift package for Sindh during his visit to Sukkur on Friday.
The package would begin an era of progress and prosperity for the people of province, he said while addressing a press conference at the Circuit House.
