Islamabad United Invites Applications for #UnitedWeTech Initiative for Startups
Islamabad United, the most successful franchise in PSL history and the winner of the first and third edition of the tournament, is proud to continue its #UnitedWeTech initiative for 2021.
For this program, the franchise will partner with NIC Karachi and NIC Peshawar this year, along with continuing its association with [email protected] (Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT and ITES) via the Nest/IO.

Launched in 2020, this initiative has helped assist start-ups in gaining visibility and brand recognition through the platform and reach of Islamabad United. The shortlisted start-ups will have the opportunity to showcase their products within the PSL 2021 season, and for the rest of the year, through Islamabad United’s brand recognition, popularity, and massive outreach all over the country.

Exorbitant currency exchange rates offered by banks have discouraged scores of people from sending money home through conventional banking channels.
As an alternate, they consider digital applications useful due to stable and low fee coupled with a hassle-free transaction. Mohsin Hussain, a Pakistani student pursuing PhD at Warwick University, UK, told The Express Tribune that he sends money through a money transferring mobile app called Transferwise.

Pakistan is working to send its manpower to countries other than the Gulf region and is engaged in talks with South Korea, Germany, Romania and Japan.
In this regard, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Zulfikar Bukhari met with Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan Kinnori Matsuda to discuss the export of Pakistani IT engineers to Japan.
The meeting was followed by a video conference with the Japanese IT companies association. Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Information Technology, Pakistan Software Houses Association and embassies of both countries participated in the meeting.
