Pakistan Foreign Minister Qureshi arrives in UAE on a three days visit starting Saturday

Dubai: Pakistan Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi has arrived in UAE on Saturday on a three days official visit. A statement sent to Gulf News by Pakistan Foreign office revealed that during the visit, the Foreign Minister Qureshi will meet his counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other UAE dignitaries. The Foreign Minister will also meet Pakistani diaspora and interact with local and international media. Foreign Minister  Qureshi landed at the Dubai International Airport on Saturday afternoon. He was received by Pakistan Ambassador Afzaal Mahmood and Consul General Ahmed Amjad Ali.  Read More Second visit This is Qureshi’s second official visit to the UAE in less than five months. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Saturday thanked friendly countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia and China in overcoming $20 billion of balance of payment (BoP) crisis faced by the South Asian country due to the Covid-19 crisis. Qureshi was speaking in Dubai at an Iftar dinner hosted by the Pakistan Business Council. The foreign minister arrived in Dubai on Saturday on a three-day official visit to the UAE. During the visit, Qureshi will meet Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and other senior UAE officials.

Qureshi further said that it is Pakistan s firm belief that all issues could be resolved through dialogue , adding that it is India s responsibility to create a conducive environment. Recently, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan wrote to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, saying that durable peace and stability in South Asia is contingent upon resolving all outstanding issues between the two countries, including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
