Two piers in South get upgrade

Two piers in South get upgrade published : 3 Jun 2021 at 04:00 The Marine Department is upgrading two piers in Trang and Krabi. The total budget is almost 200 million baht of which 140 million baht has been allocated to refurbish Pak Meng Pier in Trang province and 59.6 million baht to expand the Sala Dan Pier in Koh Lanta in Krabi. Both projects are more than 70% complete. The Pak Meng Pier in Trang was built over 20 years ago and needs to be expanded as the facility is too small to handle the increasing number of tourists. The new facility will have a building to accommodate additional passengers, two piers and longer bridges so that more vessels can dock.
