Police lay charges over motorcycle crash near Mittagong
A man has been charged after a motorcyclist was hospitalised in a critical condition following a crash in the Southern Highlands yesterday.
About 4.10pm (Tuesday 27 April 2021), emergency services were called to the Hume Highway near Church Avenue at Alpine, near Mittagong, after reports a Volkswagen Golf station wagon and Honda motorcycle had collided
The rider, a 44-year-old man, was treated at the scene before being airlifted to Liverpool Hospital to undergo emergency surgery. He is expected to be transferred to Royal North Hospital and remains in a critical but stable condition.

A man has been charged with producing and distributing child abuse material online in New South Wales Macarthur Region.
As part of ongoing inquiries, detectives executed a search warrant at a home in Sydney’s west on May 7, 2020.
During the search, officers seized mobile phones, a laptop and electronic storage devices.
A forensic examination of the items – including a review of more than 9,800 images and videos – was subsequently conducted.
Following extensive investigations, officers arrested a 34-year-old man at a home near Tahmoor about 9.30am on Tuesday.
