El Paso city, county to soon use centralized vaccine registration system EL PASO, Texas El Paso County Judge Ricardo Samaniego and Mayor Oscar Leeser made an announcement from City Hall on Friday about a new joint Covid-19 vaccination effort in the region. They said the city and county are going to go to a single, centralized registration system instead of separate systems as has been the case to date. That change is expected to take place within two weeks, the leaders said. The unified registration system will utilize the web portal currently in use by the city. Although El Paso already leads Texas cities in vaccinations currently, the two men said a combined registration system would make the process better.

That curfew will run nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Dec. 26. The curfew will take effect again for the New Year s holiday period from Dec. 30 to Jan. 4. El Pasoans going to work, to the store for essential items or to seek medical care will be exempt from the curfew, which primarily targets social gatherings. Also exempt from the curfew order will be those attending Christmas Eve mass at Catholic churches.

Some 15,600 doses of Pfizer s COVID-19 vaccine arrived Tuesday at hospitals in El Paso and Edinburg, and more will land in Laredo, McAllen, Brownsville and El Paso later this week.
