What Happened: According to the most recent filings with the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bitcoin ETF applications from SkyBridge Capital and Fidelity Investments are now officially under review by the U.S regulator.
SkyBridge Capital’s Bitcoin ETF has been backed by the NYSE Arca, while Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust is backed by the
Chicago Board Options Exchange (NYSE:CBOE).
The two Bitcoin ETF applications join a list of four others that are already under official review – VanEck, Kryptoin, Valkyrie, and WisdomTree.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange, or CBOE, has filed Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded fund with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
CBOE filed a Form 19b-4 on Monday seeking to list Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust Bitcoin ETF that was initially submitted to the SEC by the $4.9-trillion asset manager back in March.
Monday’s Form 19b-4, which puts CBOE as the exchange partner for Fidelity’s Bitcoin ETF filing, has triggered the SEC approval process.

With its Sherlock platform, Fidelity aims to beat competitors in the data analysis space.
Fidelity Investments, a well-known asset manager famous for its foray into the crypto space, has unveiled another ingenious development among its list of services. On the 29th of April, Fidelity revealed a new program it had developed which was capable of analysing and collating data from digital assets. The program, known as Sherlock, will ”collect and perform fundamental and technical data analysis on blockchain, market forces, social sentiment and industry developments.”
