A fire early Saturday morning destroyed a two-story wood-framed home at 129 Hayton Ave. in Coldwater.
The first unit to arrive after the 3:06 a.m. call found flames coming from the garage and front of the home owned by Heather Russell.
Coldwater Fire reported all five occupants got out uninjured after they were alerted by smoke alarms.
There was heavy damage to the garage and west side of the home, estimated at $275,000. The building and three vehicles in the drive and garage were considered a total loss.
The blaze was so intense it took Coldwater and Quincy firefighters, who responded under automatic mutual aid, an hour to bring it under control.
