BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â The Buffalo Teachers Federation is threatening legal action in order to prevent Buffalo Public Schools reopening on February 1st.

All Buffalo teachers miss their students and want to be back with them; however, they want to be confident that the teaching and learning conditions are and remain safe for their students, parents, staff, community and themselves. We have sent information to the district in an effort to work with them to resolve serious health and safety concerns. BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â Parents and caregivers had questions for the Buffalo Public School district, before many of their children go back into the classroom.
On Monday, grades Pre-K-2, high school seniors, and those with the highest needs can return to buildings. Superintendent Dr. Kriner Cash called it a milestone day.
A common question parents had was regarding COVID-19 testing. Cash said it will continue despite the lifting of Erie County s cluster zone. Testing is not required for schools outside orange and red cluster zones, according to the state s website.
University at Buffalo plans to resume in-person learning for Fall 2021 semester

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â The University at Buffalo announced on Wednesday that the school plans to resume in-person learning for the Fall 2021 semester.
School officials say they are excited about the possibility of students taking advantage of the opportunities in-person learning has to offer.
The school says it is following public health practices with students returning to campus in the fall.
UB plans on providing additional guidance for the Fall semester in the upcoming months.
