Eric Murfin, division chief with the Marion County Ambulance District, and Keith Amos, assistant chief with MCAD, inspect the child seat in Kristin Fasnachtâs car during a car seat safety check event at Early Head Start on Wednesday. Early Head Start is a program of Douglass Community Services, a United Way partner agency. Assisting MCAD, Head Start personnel and the Northeast Coalition for Roadway Safety were employees from Families and Communities Together, representing the Safe Kids Coalition of Northeast Missouri with car seats on hand in case a family needed one.

Parrott Creek receives $50K grant from New York Life Foundation December 10 2020 Love Takes Action funds to help Clackamas County nonprofit with added costs due to COVID-19 in helping at-risk youth.
Parrott Creek Child and Family is receiving some much needed financial respite thanks to a grant from the New York Life Foundation s Love Takes Action program.
The Oregon City-based nonprofit will receive $50,000 to go towards general operations after Simon Fulford, executive director, was selected as an honoree for the program and subsequently selected Parrott Creek to be the recipient of the grant.
Fulford was nominated by Mariah Hurlburt, a financial service representative who works for New York Life Insurance out of its Tigard office. Hurlburt recently advised Parrott Creek after receiving a lead gift for the organization s upcoming capital campaign.
