Britain s Foreign Minister Dominic Raab is set to meet Israeli and Palestinian leaders on a one-day visit to Jerusalem and the West Bank, the Foreign Office said on Tuesday, as a cease-fire holds following the worst outbreak of fighting in years.
Raab will have talks on Wednesday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Benny Gantz, as well as Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh. The events of the last month demonstrate the urgent need to make genuine progress towards a more positive future for both Israelis and Palestinians., Raab said in a statement.

Visiting UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab on Wednesday met with Israeli leaders to discuss the 11-day conflict with the Hamas terror group in the Gaza Strip and the ceasefire that brought the fighting to an end.
In remarks before meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Raab said he was in the country “as a friend… that’s a great supporter of Israel.”
“We’re looking forward to talking about the bilateral relationship but also how we move things forward elsewhere,” Raab said. “You can always count on us.”
