The Canadian military has a double standard when it comes to investigating sexual misconduct by senior officers as an “old boy’s network” provides protection for such individuals, the Commons defence committee heard Friday.
Lt. Cmdr. Raymond Trotter outlined the obstacles he faced in early February as he tried repeatedly to report serious allegations of sexual misconduct by chief of the defence staff Adm. Art McDonald and later another incident involving another senior officer.
