DRDOâs Rustom Drone Gets Deadlier; To Fly At 27,000 Feet For Over 18 Hours In April

Defence Research Development Organization-developed (DRDO) medium-altitude long endurance drone Rustom-2 is slated to achieve massive upgrade when it will take off from Chitradurga in Karnataka to fly for over 18 hours at a height of 27,000 feet,
Hindustan Times reports.
The drone, also known as Tapas-BH (Tactical Airborne Platform for Aerial Surveillance-Beyond Horizon 201), had completed its last flight test in October 2020 as it flew for around eight hours at almost 16,000 feet.
The indigenously built unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has been created for strategic reconnaissance and surveillance operations and is touted as a âhuge stepâ by government officials.

India is drawing up a list of countries that it could potentially supply with modern missile systems as part of New Delhi s bid to emerge as a major arms exporter, according to Indian press reports. The list includes Egypt.
On Jan. 7, the Times of India reported that New Delhi had made a list of friendly countries to which it could sell advanced Akash missile systems and BrahMos cruise missiles over the next few years.
Indian weapons researcher Amiet R. Kashyap told Al-Monitor that Egypt along with the Philippines, South Korea, Algeria, Greece, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Venezuela, and Bulgaria are interested in the missile systems.
