THE TOPLINE: The head of the D.C. National Guard testified Wednesday about the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, and he detailed several hurdles he faced in getting approval to deploy. Maj. Gen. William Walker, commanding general of the D.C. Guard, said senior Pentagon leaders gave him the approval to deploy more than three hours after he received an initial “frantic” call for help from then-Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund.

ronny Jackson: IG Report resurrects false allegations

U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson made sexual comments, subjected subordinates to cursing and rage in tantrums and drank alcohol on the job while serving as the top White House physician, according to findings in a report from the Department of Defense Inspector General s Office.  Jackson s use of sleeping medication on official overseas flights also raised concerns among witnesses interviewed during an investigation that began in May 2018 after the DOD Hotline received 12 complaints about the now retired Navy rear admiral, according to the report on the investigation s findings.  Jackson responds The Amarillo Republican called the accusations of professional misconduct  just garbage during his run for the 13th Congressional District.
