Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and other members of his party on Wednesday walked out of a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Defence, alleging that the panel s time was being wasted in discussing armed forces uniform instead of the crucial issue of national security, sources said. According to sources quoted by news agency PTI, Rahul Gandhi left the meeting after he was not allowed to speak when he sought to raise the issues of Chinese aggression and better equipping the soldiers at the border in Ladakh.

Congress leader claims panel’s time being wasted by discussing about uniforms rather than security issues
Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, along with two party colleagues, walked out of a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence on Wednesday after a sharp exchange in which Mr. Gandhi alleged that the panel’s time was being wasted by discussing about uniforms of the Armed Forces instead of ‘strategic issues of national security’.
