You will not see the Battle of Flowers Parade and the Fiesta Flambeau Parades this year, but A Night in Old San Antonio is still happening. NIOSA has been voted most popular Fiesta events several times and it was listed as the number one Fiesta event by the San Antonio Current in 2019. It s not unusual to see massive crowds flood into La Villita for the annual tradition.

Abandoned North Side dairy barn is denied historic status FacebookTwitterEmail The milk house and dairy barn of the historic Bacon-Steubing farm property were denied historic designation last week by City Council.Billy Calzada /Billy Calzada A barn built in the 1950s believed to be one of the last remaining structures of San Antonio’s dairy farming heritage has been denied historic landmark designation. The 12.5-acre property in the 6400 block of De Zavala Road included three single-story structures built in 1950 that originally served as a barn, a milk house and a feed room for the former Bacon-Steubing dairy farm. The Historic and Design Review Commission recommended granting the property historic status, but City Council members decided otherwise last week.
