Pentagon Postpones One Day of Transition Meetings Until After Holidays
18 Dec 2020
The Pentagon is postponing one day of meetings with the Biden transition team until after the holidays, in order to focus on Operation Warp Speed and other priorities, according to senior defense officials.
Acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller released a statement Friday morning noting the postponement was “mutually-agreed upon”:
Our key focus in the next two weeks is supporting essential requests for information on OWS and COVID-19 [Chinese coronavirus] information to guarantee a flawless transition. This is my major focus area.
After the mutually-agreed upon holiday pause, which begins tomorrow, we will continue with the transition and rescheduled meetings from today.

WILMINGTON, Del. (Reuters) -Aides to President-elect Joe Biden who are trying to arrange a smooth transition of power from the Trump administration have met resistance to their requests for information from some Pentagon officials, an official on Biden’s team said on Friday.
After Biden beat President Donald Trump in the Nov. 3 election, the Democrat’s team only began meeting with administration officials in late November to coordinate the handover.
Trump, a Republican, has refused to concede defeat and his administration only authorized cooperation with Biden on Nov. 23.

Because some of the decisions that he is making are jaw dropping. It is difficult to imagine more malevolent yet incompetent decisions being made.
But if anyone is capable of such evil incompetence it is Donald J Trump.
For instance he is botching the roll out of the Covid vaccine.
Despite months of listening to Donald Trump brag about the incredible military operation he had put together to distribute a vaccine that did not then exist, states are suddenly discovering that the shipments they were expecting have been drastically reduced without explanation. Meanwhile Pfizer seems just as confused it says there are millions of doses sitting in its warehouse ready to go, but Trump’s team is allowing them to gather dust.
