재건축 추진이 활발해지면서 서울 목동 일대 집값이 강세를 보이고 있다. 안전진단을 통과한 일부 아파트는 1년새 3억원 가까이 올랐다.
지난 8일 찾은 목동 아파트. 단지는 1~14차 단지로 구성돼 있다. 단지마다 1300가구에서 3000가구 정도가 사는 대형 아파트 단지다. 목동 아파트 단지는 1985년~1987년에 지어졌다. 당시 서민 주택 공급을 목적으로 지어진 대규모 기획 아파트다. 목동의 상징인 신시가지 아파트는 사실 모두 목동에 속해 있는 게 아니다. 1~7단지는 목동, 8~14단지는 신정동에 속해 있다.

서울 아파트 리모델링 시장이 달아올랐다. 리모델링 추진 단지 곳곳에서 사업에 속도가 붙고 있고, 개발 기대감에 아파트 매매값도 가파른 상승세를 타고 있다.
정비업계에 따르면 주택시장에서 강북권 대장 지역으로 꼽히는 마용성 (마포·용산·성동구) 알짜 아파트 단지들이 리모델링 사업을 위한 안전진단 절차에 잇따라 돌입했다.
