Today s letters: Readers comment on lowering flags for Rush Limbaugh and more

The Gainesville Sun Disgraceful act Our Florida governor should be ashamed of himself for ordering the U.S. flag to be flown at half-staff to honor Rush Limbaugh. Under the U.S. Flag Code, the governor does not have the authority to issue such an order placing the flag at half staff to honor a private citizen who was not an incumbent or former government official and not an American service member from Florida killed while on active duty. This governor apparently thinks he is above the law of our land regarding our national flag, and can order employees of the state and other officials in Florida to violate that code.
