7th Multinational Maritime Exercise “AMAN-21” Culminates

KARACHI, Pakistan: Pakistan Navy’s Multinational Maritime Exercise AMAN-21 culminated in the North Arabian Sea on Tuesday with a graceful conduct of International Fleet Review (IFR) followed by spectacular forming up of AMAN Formation comprising Pakistan Navy and foreign warships.
President Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Upon arrival on board Pakistan Navy Ship MOAWIN, the Honorable President was received by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi.
The Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi, the Federal Minister of Defence Production Zubaida Jalal, the Chief Minister Sindh Multan Ali Shah, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Nadeem Raza, the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and the Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan were also present on the occasion.
Imran attends fewer NA sittings than Sharif

Right after taking the oath of office in August 2018, Prime Minister Imran Khan had promised to empower parliament and to attend the National Assembly sittings at least twice a month to answer lawmakers’ questions.
However, a comparison of the data of the first two-and-a-half-years rule of PM Imran with his predecessor Nawaz Sharif shows that Imran attended fewer sittings than Sharif.
According to the Free and Fair Election Network (Fafen), between August 13, 2018 and February 4, 2021, the National Assembly held 28 sessions that comprised 198 sittings.
Pakistan unveils roadmap to build shipyard in Gwadar
In a major breakthrough, Pakistan unveiled a roadmap to establish a new shipyard at Gwadar with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) by the federal and provincial governments at a special ceremony held in Quetta the other day.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Federal Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal had said that the federal and provincial governments are jointly making efforts for the socioeconomic development of Balochistan as it holds economic future of Pakistan.
The Minister said that not only ships would be built at the proposed new shipyard, but it would also provide repairing facilities in the region and training facilities would also be available.
