Messenger KUWAIT CITY, March 10 : The Department of Technical Authority for Commodity Supervision in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry conducted an inspection tour of a number of markets, shops and outlets in Shuwaikh area that sell meat, fruits and dates, reports Al-Anba daily. In a press statement, the Director of the department Faisal Al-Ansari explained that a team from the department conducted the inspection campaign based on the instructions of the Assistant Undersecretary for Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Affairs. Stores selling food items, dates, meat, grains and others in Shuwaikh area were inspected during the campaign. Al-Ansari said, “We are on the verge of the month of Ramadan. One of the tasks of the team is to monitor prices during the month of Ramadan this year, as well as during the partial curfew. Situation is normal and there is no crowding. All stores are committed to their prices both before or after the implementation of the partial curfew

Garages see huge rush KUWAIT CITY, March 7: Automobile workshops in Shuwaikh Industrial Area witnessed a huge number of motorists who were keen to repair their vehicles prior to the start of the partial curfew from Sunday, reports Al-Anba daily. There was congestion in garages, auto shops and car wash stations, as well as car decoration shops which attracted a large number of customers, especially the youth. Despite being a weekend, many shops were open to receive customers who wanted to repair their vehicles or buy spare parts. The number of motorists who repaired their cars complained about the high prices, indicating that some shops took advantage of the current situation and the advent of the curfew to raise the prices.

Messenger KUWAIT CITY, Feb 20: The Minister of Interior, Sheikh Thamer Al-Ali, during a meeting which he chaired, has stressed on the need to propose urgent solutions to all outstanding issues in all sectors of the ministry saying it is not impossible to solve the problems facing the security house, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The minister was addressing all senior security officials in his office in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Essam Al- Naham, and the assistant undersecretaries of various sectors during which he called on all to double check their preparedness and readiness to discuss the work mechanism to contain all the problems.
