Michael Lee-Chin, Chairman of the NCB Financial Group, says optimism is an essential requirement for future success and that it is in the DNA of the group.
In his welcome and opening remarks, at the company’s annual general meeting (AGM) held on February 5, 2021, Lee-Chin reminded his audience that NCB, which originated as a government-owned bank, was accustomed to managing crisis.
The company as it exists now, he indicated, “was born when our economy was lurching from crisis to crisis. Inflation was up to 50 per cent and interest rates were up to 80 per cent. Crime was increasing, the dollar falling in value and Unemployment was in the vicinity or 25 per cent.”
