The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is all new from the ground up. The complete redesign marks the beginning of the SUV s fifth generation, coming 35 years after the model was introduced to the market.
Nissan has combined design inspiration from the first-generation Pathfinder into the new, midsize SUV. The 2022 Pathfinder continues to slot into the Nissan lineup in the same place as its predecessor, below the full-size Armada and above the compact Rogue.

The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder family-hauling SUV will try to appeal to shoppers with a combination of throwback styling, and increased towing capacity when it goes on sale in July.
The new Pathfinder’s squared-off body features flared fenders and a forward-leaning diagonal C-pillar in a conscious attempt to recall the original 1987 Pathfinder, which used a pickup chassis and focused on off-road capability, not the ability to carry up to eight for family excursions.
Mechanical changes complementing the new look include a nine-speed automatic transmission and the ability to tow up to 6,000 pounds more than most competitors.
The Pathfinder’s exterior is 0.8 of an inch shorter than the previous model front to rear, but 0.6 inch wider and 0.1 inch taller. The track, or distance between the center line of its tires, grew meaningfully, 1.2 inches.

The Frontier is largely an overhaul of the outgoing model, which was first launched in 2005, and carries over the 310 hp 3.8-liter V6 and 9-speed transmission that were introduced last year. The midsize pickup also gets a redesigned exterior that features an upright grille, flatter hood and blistered fenders inspired by the Nissan Hardbody of the 1980s. (Nissan)
The interior is entirely new and equipped with an upgraded infotainment system Nissan s zero-gravity comfort seating and four USB ports. A 9-inch touchscreen display, WiFi hotspot, wireless charging pad and a 360-degree bird’s-eye-view camera with an off-road mode are among the available options.
