Child discharged without stitches post surgery as parents couldn t pay fees In what can be called a shockingly disturbing incident, a 3-year-old girl died after doctors of a private hospital allegedly handed over the minor to her family without giving her stitches after surgery. Why? Because parents of the minor failed to clear the dues. The doctors were performing an abdominal surgery on the minor. The deceased minor s family hails from Manjahanpur in Kaushambi and had recently brought the girl to the hospital in Prayagraj after she complained of abdominal pain. NCPCR tells Prayagraj DM to probe charges against private hospital over girl s death | Allahabad News

PRAYAGRAJ: The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) took cognizance of news reports of the death of a three-year old girl at the gate of a private hospital in Prayagraj and asked the district magistrate Bhanu Chandra Goswami on Saturday to initiate an inquiry into allegations of medical negligence and submit report within 24 hours. On Friday, the deceased girl’s father Mukesh Mishra, a resident of Karhenda village of Prayagraj’s Kareli area, had alleged that he had admitted his daughter to the private hospital near Jhalwa 20 days ago. The hospital falls under the jurisdiction of Kaushambi’s Pipri police station.

Admin invites objections, claims on turtle sanctuary | Allahabad News

PRAYAGRAJ: After the government notification was issued for setting up turtle wildlife sanctuary, a protected area for conservation of freshwater turtles, at Prayagraj, the district administration has invited objections from locals who would be affected by this shifting of sanctuary from Varanasi. A communique from the district magistrate Bhanu Chandra Goswami said an area of 30 km on the banks of river Ganga at Kothari village in Meja block has been declared a turtle wildlife sanctuary. The area is of ecological and zoological importance and therefore, it is extremely important to preserve it. The sanctuary would lead to conservation, enhancement and development of wildlife and its environment.
