LAHORE: After the successful tours to South Africa and Zimbabwe, Pakistan cricket squad arrived in Lahore on a chartered flight from Harare on Wednesday morning.
Upon their arrival a rapid Covid-19 testing was conducted at the Allama Iqbal International Airport after which the cricketers and the officials left for their respective hometowns.
Pakistan first toured South Africa where they won the three-match One-day International series and four-game T20 series followed by the T20 and Test series victories in Zimbabwe.
Pakistan’s next assignment is the England tour where Babar Azam-led team will feature in a three ODIs and as many T20 Internationals in the month of July. The squad however leaves for England on June 23 to first complete a 14-day quarantine period there before the series.

HARARE: Zimbabwe have named a young squad for the two-match Test series against Pakistan with the inclusion of five uncapped players. Luke Jongwe, Richard Ngarava, Roy Kaia, Milton Shumba, and Tanaka Chivanga have all earned their maiden Test call-ups. Brendan Taylor, who missed Zimbabwe’s last Test series against Afghanistan in the UAE because of health issues but made a comeback for the second and third T20Is against Pakistan, has made the cut. Craig Ervine continues to miss out because of a calf injury. Tendai Chisoro, who played his only Test match in 2017, has also been recalled. The players from Zimbabwe’s Test squad against Afghanistan to miss out were Sikandar Raza, who is recovering from a bone marrow infection, Ryan Burl, Wesley Madhevere, Richmond Mutumbami, and Brandon Mavuta. Pakistan set to take on Zimbabwe in opening Test

Harare, April 28 : After the highs and lows of the T20I series against Zimbabwe, the Pakistan cricket team will be back in white overalls when they take on Zimbabwe in the first Test at the Harare Sports Club from Thursday.
The Babar Azam-led side which last featured in a two-match Test series against South Africa at home in January-February winning both Tests would like to repeat its performance in the two-Test series against Zimbabwe.
In between the Test series against South Africa and the upcoming matches against Zimbabwe, the visitors have played three bilateral T20I series (two vs South Africa and one against Zimbabwe) and an ODI series against South Africa.
