BJP building organisation by tearing apart country: Mehbooba

RAJOURI, Feb 1: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and President People’s Democratic Party Mehbooba Mufti today said that ruling Bharatiya Janata Party was tearing apart the very spirit of India to build its organisation in furtherance of its vindictive and fanatic political agenda.
“Journalists and columnists are being booked for reporting facts, farmers are being targeted and defamed for seeking their rights, students and minorities are being pushed to walls. NIA, CBI, ED and every agency was being used to settle political scores and curb democratic voices”, she said.

In a statement issued to the news agency KNO, an official spokesperson said that the award was instituted by the Gurjardesh Charitable Trust and was given away to Dr Masud Chaudhary by former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah at a mega event attended by all sections of society in Jammu today.
He said that several former Ministers, former legislators, notable citizens of society, political leaders and former colleagues of Chaudhary from the Police department were among those who attended the event.
“Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and former Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra also spoke on the occasion,” he said.

The octogenarian leader, who was candid and witty in his 35-minute speech, said one is even afraid of a handshake or a hug in the current situation. I can t even kiss my wife. Who knows (what will happen). There is no question of a hug, though the heart wants it. I am sincere in my words, he said, leaving the audience in splits.

JAMMU: National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah on Sunday requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to restore 4G mobile internet services in Jammu and Kashmir as he highlighted various problems due to lack of the facility and the harsh winter in the Union Territory.
He prayed for the success of the Covid-19 vaccine and urged people to maintain communal harmony and brotherhood at all costs for overall prosperity and development.
The prime minister is saying 5G is coming in India while we are deprived of 4G (mobile internet service). May he come and live here after leaving the chair and see how we are living under 2G (service), Abdullah, the former chief minister of the erstwhile state, said at a book release function here.
