Lewis Hamilton won a seventh F1 world championship in 2020
Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has been knighted in the Queen s New Year Honours list.
The Briton, 35, sealed a seventh drivers title at the Turkish Grand Prix in November - equalling Michael Schumacher s championships record.
Rugby league legend
Rob Burrow is made an MBE for services to rugby and his awareness campaign since being diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
British Billie Jean King Cup captain
Anne Keothavong also becomes an MBE.
The former British number one, 37, represented Great Britain in the event - previously known as the Fed Cup - before becoming captain in 2016.

Commanders of the Order of the British Empire (CBE)
Maggie Carver, chair of the Racecourse Association and deputy chair of Ofcom, for services to sport and media (Winchester, Hampshire).
Bob Champion MBE, founder of the Bob Champion Cancer Trust, for charitable services to prostate and testicular cancer research (Newmarket, Suffolk).
Peter Dawson OBE, chief executive and secretary of the Royal & Ancient Golf Club, for services to golf (St Andrews, Fife).

Lewis Hamilton, Sheila Hancock and Craig David are among those receiving recognition in The Queen’s New Years Honours List of 2021.
The 2021 New Year Honours are the most ethnically diverse honours list yet, with 14.2% of recipients coming from a Black, Asian or minority ethnic background.
As well as celebrities and public figures, ordinary people making extraordinary contributions to society make up the list.

Lewis Hamilton, has been knighted for services to motorsports.
Sir Lewis is one of the greatest ever sportsmen that the United Kingdom has produced. having equalled Michael Schumacher’s record earlier this by winning his seventh World Drivers’ Championship, Sir Lewis was also recently voted as the BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

ESNEFT estates and facilities director Paul Fenton has been made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his work during the pandemic.
Mr Fenton, who is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the trust s hospitals, said the year had been relentless but made him proud to work for the NHS.
He said: This year has been challenging and in many ways humbling. In what has been an awful year, the amazing things that have happened is the way NHS staff pulled together.
