Government center changes after-hours access policy
Participants in most city and county meetings after 5 p.m. will have a 30-minute period to access the building, starting Monday.

Starting Monday, the city-county Government Center Rotunda doors (Door C) will only be unlocked for meetings after 5 p.m. when public meetings are scheduled or expected to occur after business hours. They will be unlocked for 30 minutes to provide access to meetings.
Anyone seeking to attend a public meeting in the city-county Government Center will have a narrow access window in 2021.
For most public meetings after 5 p.m, the rotunda doors, marked Door C, will be the only access to the building and will open 15 minutes before a scheduled meeting and be locked 15 minutes after the meeting’s scheduled start time.

Work on the proposed dredging, dam modification and other work at Silver Lake is moving forward even as park neighbors and supporters have questions about the project.
The Rochester City Council gave the go-ahead to prepare a required environmental assessment worksheet for the proposed $13.3 million project, starting a state review process that will also provide information for further design efforts.

Summary: Ordinance No. 1456 adds a new subdivision within City Ordinance 1060, Section 8 requiring certain housing projects within the Renaissance Zone to submit and follow an affordable housing plan, in order to preserve a mix of market and below-market housing opportunities in the area.
This ordinance also establishes the administration process, performance standards, and alternative Open Zoning process regulating the Renaissance Zone overlay district within City Ordinance 1060, Section 12.
