BEIJING, March 3 (Xinhua) International Paralympic Committee (IPC) President Andrew Parsons commended the preparation work and the commitment of the Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympics during a video interview with Xinhua. I m very confident that what we will see in about a year will surprise and amaze the whole world, said Parsons. I do think that the Beijing 2022 Paralympics will be held as scheduled.
With around one year to go, a tailored test program for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games went off well in February with stringent anti-COVID-19 measures in place. Parsons was very positive about the preparations for Beijing 2022 and the virus prevention and control measures that were taken.

Attempts to boycott the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games are vain efforts that are doomed to fail, a spokesman with China s top political advisory body said on Wednesday.
Guo Weimin, a spokesman for the fourth session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People s Political Consultative Conference, said during a news conference that actions by certain foreign politicians to politicize sports and disrupt the Beijing 2022 Games are against the spirit of the Olympic Charter.
