Photo of the press service of RK Majilis Consultations on candidates for positions of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan were held in the specialized committees of the Majilis, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the lower chamber of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In accordance with article 22-1 of the Constitutional Law On the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and status of its deputies , the acting Head of the Office of the Prime Minister Galymzhan Koishybayev presented to the members of the Majilis Committee on Finance and Budget the candidacy of Alikhan Smailov for the post of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan. And the candidacies of Roman Sklyar and Yeraly Tugzhanov for the positions of Deputy Prime Ministers were recommended to the members of the Majilis committees on economic reform and regional development, as well as on social and cultural development.
Kazakhstan to have parliamentary elections on Jan 10
AKIPRESS.COM - Elections to the lower house of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be held on Sunday, Jan 10. The 8th parliamentary elections will be the first regular elections, not snap, for the first time in 16 years.
Nur Otan party, Ak Zhol party, People s Party of Kazakhstan, Adal Party, and Auyl party are running for 107-seat Mazhilis.
98 members of the Mazhilis are elected by the voters, the threshold to win a seat is 7 percent. 9 members of the Mazhilis are elected by the Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan.
Members of Parliament are elected to five-year terms.
