The Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has revealed that the state will implement the rule of law concerning the implementation of Executive Order 10 on financial autonomy for both the judiciary and legislature in the state.
The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Benedict Alabi stated this in Osogbo when protesting members of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) and Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) arrived at the state secretariat, Abere.
The Deputy Governor said the state government was committed to implementing whatever decision is taken on the autonomy of the Judiciary.
He assured that the government will abide by its implementation in accordance with the law of the state.

As members of the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Osun State, on Thursday embarked on peaceful protest, in compliance with the directive of the National body of the union to press for financial autonomy, the State Deputy Governor, Benedict Alabi, has assured them of the implementation of the policy to strengthen democracy.
Recall that JUSUN and the NBA, have been protesting in different parts of the country against the alleged unwillingness of the government to respect the financial autonomy of the judiciary.
He reiterated the conviction of Governor Gboyega Oyetola, on the sanctity and independence of judiciary as an integral ingredient of democracy and his commitment to the rule of law as a patriotic Nigerian, adding that the Governor would have love to address members of the union but for the National Economic Council meeting he was participating through zoom.

Judicial and parliamentary workers as well as members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) on Thursday staged the mother-of-all protest in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, to demand financial autonomy for the legislative and judicial arms of government.
The peaceful protest, which took place at the front of the Oyo State High Court Complex, Ibadan, was attended by parliamentary workers under the aegis of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), judiciary workers under the auspices of the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria ( (JUSUN) and the NBA members.
They carried placards bearing various inscriptions conveying a loud message of an unequivocal demand for financial autonomy for the two organs of government.
