~ Says PM continue with misleading word games ~
PHILIPSBURG: - Independent Member of Parliament Christophe Emmanuel on Thursday told his colleagues attending the virtual IPKO that he could not engage in any discussion with them on the COHO because the Parliament of St. Maarten has to date not received any information about the COHO. The session in which Emmanuel was participating had specifically the COHO as the topic of discussion.
His statement prompted the chairman of the session Jan Patenotte to ask have you asked your government to which Emmanuel responded, over and over and over again. He went on to reiterate his principle stance that he will not support the COHO, an entity that was forced on St. Maarten via blackmail. All members of Parliaments of the Kingdom know my position on this issue, he said.

PHILIPSBURG: -Independent Member of Parliament Christophe Emmanuel on Wednesday appealed to residents to be vigilant and attentive to the new country status the Silveria Jacobs led government has placed the people under and the serious consequences to come, while he does his part to inform them “every step along the way”.

And a people under higher supervision cannot exercise genuine free will,” he said.

In order to receive the third tranche of liquidity support, the Dutch government recently asked the Government of St. Maarten to distance itself from comments made by various Members of Parliament regarding State Secretary Knops. Honorable Member of Parliament Christophe Emmanuel compared the thinking process of Mr. Knops to that of Adolf Hitler. While members of the Dutch Government labelled his remarks as disrespectful, The United Nations Security Council made a similar declaration regarding the Netherlands and Adolf Hitler at its 390th meeting in Paris, France in 1948.

~ Says people must understand what’s coming ~
The Prime Minister and her government must answer urgent questions and provide truthful clarity to the people of St. Maarten about the COHO entity that is about to take over their lives. So says Independent Member of Parliament Christophe Emmanuel as he submitted a letter to the PM, via the Secretariat of Parliament, on Friday.
Emmanuel said he will “not let up” and will “not stop asking questions” about the drastic change that is about to occur on St. Maarten in return for a third tranche of liquidity support. He said Prime Minister Silveria Jacobs came to Parliament and spoke in “general terms” without providing clear answers to anything. “It was clear that she herself doesn’t know but Parliament had to rubber-stamp. It is the choice and free-will of other MP’s to go along, not this MP. Not while I know the people of St. Maarten, its government apparatus, companies, civil se
