Shahryar Afridi avoids meeting Kashmiri community in Dubai

DUBAI: Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Chairman Shahryar Khan Afridi neither intriguingly met the Kashmiri community, residing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during his visit to the Emirates nor ‘Kashmir issue’ was mentioned in the press statement released by the Pakistan diplomatic mission in Dubai.
Shahryar Khan Afridi visited the Pakistan Consulate in Dubai on Sunday but the Kashmiri community was not invited on the occasion. Pakistan Consul General to Dubai Ahmed Amjad Ali briefed about the consular services provided to Pakistanis and COVID-19 operations for repatriation of Pakistanis.

The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai had helped in the repatriation of around 61,000 overseas Pakistanis during a fresh outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) last year, officials said.
Over 17,500 ration bags were also distributed among the affected expatriates stranded in the Gulf country because of the pandemic, they told Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Chairman Shehryar Afridi during his visit to the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai on Sunday. Afridi is currently visiting the UAE to discuss matters of national interest and welfare of overseas Pakistanis at relevant forums in Dubai.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Shehryar Khan Afridi on Tuesday urged the Kashmiri bloggers, vloggers, and social media activists to utilize all their potentials and expose the evil Indian designs to help make the world realize what’s happening in Narendra Modi’s concentration camps in Kashmir.
“Only then the world will know that we exist and we are as humans as everyone else,” Shehryar Afridi said while addressing the Kashmiri social media and youth activists from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) at National Assembly in Islamabad.
