LABOUR Grassroots activists will hold a celebration for Jeremy Corbyn on his birthday on Wednesday as they call for “one of Labour’s greatest MPs in history” to have the whip restored.
Activists both inside and outside the party are being invited to attend the online party, which will feature speakers including Labour MPs John McDonnell, Richard Burgon, Zarah Sultana, Unite leadership contender Howard Beckett and former aide to Mr Corbyn, Karie Murphy.
But a major part of the event will be through the tributes from grassroots campaigners from across the country and is aimed to coincide with the Twitterstorm to restore the whip to Mr Corbyn.
