(Lanka-e-News -10.March.2021, 4.15AM) The current government is deliberately covering up the Easter Sunday attacks on April 21, 2019, the deadliest massacre in Sri Lanka in the last decade. Meanwhile, both the respondents and the plaintiffs are attacking the dilemma report of the Presidential Commission appointed to investigate the Easter attack.
The Presidential Commission, comprising retired judges of full powers, has been investigating the matter for 15 months and has concluded its report, recalling the popular folklore saying, There is neither dancing nor drumming.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa appointed a ministerial committee of brilliant experts to delay the release of the report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the Easter Attack, which ended on January 27, 2021. More than a decade after the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) took a decision to expand its campus to accommodate the increasing number of students, the school’s new campus at Dzorwulu in Accra has been opened.
The commissioning was done as part of the school’s 14th Congregation held on Friday, November 13, 2020.
The Rector of the Institute, Professor Kwamena Kwansah-Aidoo, urged the government to continue in its funding support for the school to enable it to complete structures on the new campus.
He further assured government of school’s readiness to contribute to the passage of the University for Film, Journalism and Languages Bill which proposes to merge the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI).

The Sri Lanka Youth Scrabble team was placed third at the recent Gladiators World Youth Scrabble Championship which was held as the first virtual youth cup.
Sri Lanka defeated Nepal, the US and Malaysia to qualify for the quarter-finals. At the quarter-finals they edged out Australia to secure a place in the semi-finals.
While the Thailand Youth team won the championship, Pakistan and Sri Lanka settled for the first and second runner up positions respectively. The top three teams were presented with US $ 1000.00, 700.00 and 400.00 respectively.
