Cabinet expansion could take place within next week: Karnataka CM Bommai after meeting PM Modi
Basavaraj Bommai visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP high brass on his maiden visit to Delhi as Karnataka chief minister on Friday, following which he indicated the state Cabinet could be expanded within the next week due to rising Covid-19 cases and floods in some regions.

There are so many people-related issues that need to be discussed. The government does not want to pass the Bills without discussions. We are ready for discussion but they are not allowing it, Joshi said in the Lok Sabha while commenting on the Opposition s protest over the Pegasus issue.

New Delhi [India], July 30 (ANI): Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi on Friday urged Opposition leaders not to create ruckus in Parliament and let the monsoon session run smoothly. Yesterday to I requested them not to create a ruckus. Today again I am asking them to let the Parliament session run smoothly. They should give their views on the bills being presented in the houses, Joshi said.
His statement came after both houses of Parliament witnessing adjournments since the beginning of the session amid continued ruckus of Opposition leaders over various issues.
