No Winter Session in Parliament this year due to COVID-19, budget session to be called in January

The Winter Session of Parliament will not be held this year due to the coronavirus crisis. The information was given by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi on Monday. He added that after discussions with the leaders from several parties, a general opinion was formed that the session should not be called this year. No one was in favour of the Winter Session due to coronavirus infection. After this, it has been decided that the budget session will be called directly in January. It may be noted that the budget session started from January 31 last year, while in 2018, the budget session started from January 28.
