One killed in Barguna ice factory gas cylinder explosion 50 fell ill inhaling the toxic gas Star Online Report Star Online Report One person was killed and at least 50 others fell ill as a gas cylinder of an ice factory in Barguna s Patharghat upazila exploded early today. The deceased was identified as Shahjahan alias Samrat, 50, a mechanic of the factory, reports our local correspondent quoting Shahabuddin, officer-in-charge of Patharghata Police Station. Around 50 people, including five firefighters fell ill due to toxic gas inhalation following the explosion around 12:30am, the OC said adding that eight of them were taken to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital while others were taken to Patharghata Upazila Health Complex.
