Residents help push flaming car away from Lafourche McDonald’s Staff Residents helped push a flaming car away from a Galliano McDonald’s before fire crews arrived, authorities said.  Lafourche Parish Fire District 3 was called around 9 p.m. Sunday about a car on fire at the McDonald’s on La. 3162. Just before firefighters arrived, good Samaritans pushed the vehicle away from the building and tried to put out the flames, authorities said.  Once fire crews arrived on the scene, the fire was quickly extinguished, officials said. Crews remained on the scene until the car was hauled away. No injuries were reported.

Weekend fire destroys home in Lafourche Parish The Courier and Daily Comet No one was injured in a fire that destroyed a house Saturday in Grand Boils, authorities said. Lafourche Parish Fire District 3 was called at 4:39 p.m. to the fire, on Matherne Street off La. 24.   The Bourg, Montegut and Little Caillou fire departments also responded, authorities said. The Lockport Fire Department helped cover the northern part of Lafourche Fire District 3’s area, while the Grand Isle Department protected the southern portion.  The fire s cause remains under investigation.

(KSLA) Louisiana deputy fire marshals are investigating a house fire that happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26 in the 5300 block of North Market Street in Shreveport. Caddo Parish Fire District 1 firefighters were first on the scene. The bodies of two people, one male and one female, were found near the front door inside the home. Officials with the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal (LAOSFM) say once firefighters forced their way into the house to put out the fire, they found the body of a man at the door, with keys next to his hand, as well as the body of a woman a few feet away.
