Parishville-Hopkinton Central twins earned valedictorian and salutatorian honors

Wednesday, May 12, 2021 - 11:45 am PARISHVILLE – Twin sisters at Parishville-Hopkinton Central School have been named valedictorian and salutatorian for the 2020-2021 school. Emma and Kelly, daughters of Michael and Kristine Bloom, were named valeditorian and salutatorian, respectively. Both girls have attended PHCS for the entirety of their primary and secondary education. Emma will graduate with an Advanced Designation Regents Diploma with Honors and Mastery in Mathematics and Science with local majors in English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, and Technology.Emma has been on High Honor Roll every year since 7th grade. She has been a member of the National Honors Society since 9th grade, serving as the Society’s president this year.

(WWNY) - Students at Parishville-Hopkinton Central School want a teacher returned to the classroom. They protested Thursday and their message was plain: they want science teacher William Ayers brought back. Superintendent Bill Collins confirms Ayers is on paid administrative leave. He says he can’t say more. Students and parents say Ayers was fired but the district is now thinking about it. They say he’s a teacher that’s about more than just grades.
