One of Missoula’s Favorite Bars is Reopening
Hooray! It s so much more fun to share the reopening of local businesses, rather than the constant closures of 2020.
The Union Club, Missoula s favorite place to dance and play pool, is reopening on Thursday, April 15th at 11 a.m.! We love the Union Club, and clearly so do you, their reopening announcement is getting a lot of shares.
We actually parked at the Union Club last week when we stayed at the new AC Hotel downtown, and it was depressing to see the door locked and the lights out at 9 p.m. on a Friday night. John, the owner of the Union Club, is beyond excited to reopen and says they have sanitized the entire space, and even had a chance to catch up on some repairs and painting during their voluntary closure.

The Big Give Results in Record Breaking Fundraising for UM
Director of Communications for the UM Foundation, Elizabeth Willey shared the news with KGVO.
“The University of Montana held its second annual Day of Giving on March 24
th and 25
th “, said Willey. “This is an online event that inspired UM alumni, donors and parents to unite and support students over a 24 hour period. The entire campus community united and celebrated and spread the word about this event, and encouraged gifts of every size from alumni and friends from all over the world. We inspired over 1,300 gifts totaling more than $280,000. Those totals made this event the most successful fundraising event of its kind in UM history.”
Missoula Pizza Shop Finally Finishes Expansion
I had to dig back through the archives to see how long ago it was that we talked about this - way back in August 2019, we reported that Biga Pizza in Missoula was set to expand into the space directly behind their current location on Front Street.
That s right: Biga Pizza was getting biga.
The reason behind the expansion was to take advantage of the extra space and allow them to concentrate more on takeout and delivery, which had often operated pretty slowly, sometimes with up to an hour-and-a-half wait. And it s likely that the expansion would have been finished a lot sooner. but then, you know, the pandemic happened.
