Parkridge East Hospital Begins $9.8 Million Women s Services Expansion Friday, February 26, 2021
Parkridge East Hospital has begun a $9,759,000 modernization of its Women’s Services units.
Among the largest expansions in the hospital’s nearly 50-year history, the 4,366 square-foot project will add five postpartum beds and one labor and delivery bed. Additionally, the waiting room, 24/7 nursery and all rooms in The Birth Place at Parkridge East – which includes Labor and Delivery, a level three Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Postpartum services – will be enhanced to optimize the patient and family experience.

The Salvation Army’s Chattanooga Area Command is welcoming a new board chairman and five board members who will support the organization’s longstanding mission of Doing the Most Good for Chattanooga’s most vulnerable neighbors. Greg Love, a current board member, has been elected chairman while Caleb Bowman, Ryan Marshall, Barbara Marter, Catina Parrish and John “Tripp” Thurston have joined the board to help guide the nonprofit’s service.

Robert Magill, MD, has been named assistant chief medical officer of Parkridge Health System. Since 2017, Dr. Magill has served as Parkridge Health’s chief of staff and Envision Physician Services regional medical director of hospitalist services.
In his role as ACMO, Dr. Magill will collaborate with Parkridge Health Market Chief Medical Officer Timothy M. Grant, MD, MBA, to manage day-to-day chief medical officer duties for Parkridge Medical Center and Parkridge East Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Magill will have oversight of clinical quality and patient safety, clinical informatics, pharmacy, and the medical staff office.

Parkridge Health System has named Will Windham as new CEO of Parkridge East Hospital.
Officials said, Having served in progressive leadership roles since 2006 across Parkridge Health parent company HCA Healthcare, Windham is poised to make an immediate impact on Parkridge East, spurring the hospital’s growth initiatives – notably an expansion of The Birth Place that is currently underway.
