COVID infection rates across Romsey and Test Valley are coming under control since the start of the pandemic, despite some areas still seeing rising cases. An interactive Government map has shown that since January 5 - when the third national lockdown started - Test Valley had 12 areas where cases were rising. According to a map on the government coronavirus dashboard, in the week to March 2, when the latest figures were available, just two areas saw an increase in infections. These were Abbotswood and West Wellow and Chilbolton, Clatford and Barton Stacey. Nine places across the borough had fewer than three cases, meaning they have been classed as suppressed.
