Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - After the recent retirement of CEO Chuck Bill and the completion of a nationwide search, the Bartlett Regional Hospital Board of Directors has narrowed the pool of candidates for the CEO position to four finalists.
They will visit the hospital on March 19th to participate in assessment exercises and have a final interview with the Board of Directors on March 20th.
The finalists are Christopher R. Bjornberg, Jeanine Gentry. Rose Lawhorne, and Shawn Morrow. Morrow once managed the hospital via a contract with Quorum Health Resources. The hospital board decided to hire its manager directly as of February 1, 2012. Morrow served in that capacity from 2007 until that time.
Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Topping the agenda of Monday s regular Assembly meeting is an ordinance appropriating $376,000 for the planning and design of bond-funded capital improvement projects.
Manager Rorie Watt s report to the Assembly says $175,000 is earmarked for the reconstruction of Crest Avenue. There s $51,000 for improvements to the Eagle Valley Center. $150,000 will go toward mechanical and electrical upgrades to the downtown and Glacier Fire Stations.
Another appropriation ordinance antes up $45,000 for the Parks and Recreation Department to take over management of the Dimond Park Field House.
A resolution up for action would authorize the manager to submit an application to the State of Alaska for the purchase of Telephone Hill properties.
